The Updates VI

Jeremy Dewitte currently has 10 pending felony cases in Orange County and one pending felony case in Osceola County.

Due to the coronavirus there have been delays in his court cases. However there have been some recent changes.

On April 10, 2020 we said we received information from a source regarding Jeremy Dewitte’s felony cases. We were told his trials would begin towards the end of 2020.

The source also stated Jeremy Dewitte’s cases may be combined. At the time the source didn’t want us to report the latter part of their comment until there was confirmation.

On April 21, 2020 Jeremy Dewitte’s defense attorney, Amir Ladan, filed an unopposed motion to continue case number 2020-CF-001853-A-O. This case involves two employees from the State Attorney’s Office. Jeremy Dewitte has been accused of illegally recording his telephone conversations between the two employees.

On April 21, 2020 Judge Renee Roche ordered a reset for Jeremy Dewitte’s pre-trial conference and trial date. Two case numbers were listed. The first case number is the case involving the illegal recording of the State’s employees and the second is from Jeremy Dewitte’s first 2019 arrest in Windermere, Florida.

Jeremy Dewitte’s pre-trial conference is set for September 1, 2020 and his trial is set for September 14, 2020.

On April 23, 2020 prosecutor Steven Casey Miller filed two motions. It appears two more cases are being transferred to Judge Renee Roche. These cases involve a victim named Heather and Deputy Mohney.

The source appears to be correct and Jeremy Dewitte’s trials will begin in the fall of 2020.

This could mean a larger trial with more media attention.

In our next installment of the interview we conducted with Jeremy Dewitte’s ex-girlfriend, Jennifer, we discussed whether she planned to go to any of his trials.
